Passed away at the age of 87 years on December 19, 2012 at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home.
A funeral service was held from the chapel of Andrychuk Funeral Home on December 22, 2012
Interment followed at the Verigin Cemetery.
Jack was born on February 5, 1925 to Mike and Polly Kazakoff in the Tolstoi School District near Verigin.
Jack was educated at the Tolstoi School. He was married to Florence (nee Popoff) on May 5, 1981 in Yorkton, SK.
Jack worked at mixed farming until 2007. In his younger years he was a grain cleaner in the district. He also worked as a telephone lines man. Jack was a councilor for Division 4 in the R M of Sliding Hills for ten years. He was a director of the Verigin Co-op, Saskatchewan wheat pool, Kamsack Hospital board and the Vet Board.
Jack loved cattle, sheep and his dog Sam. His passions also included fishing, curling and above all he loved driving around to see what everyone was up to.
Jack was predeceased by; parents; Mike and Polly Kazakoff, sister Teena (Mike) Hrooshkin, brothers in law Donald Brown and Sam Krotenko, son Gary and grand daughter Mackenzie, nephew Lyn Krotenko.
Jack is survived by: wife Florence; son Robert (Tammy) of Regina, daughters Irene (Eugene) of Esterhazy and Nadia (Barry) of Verigin. Sisters; Verna Brown of Lethbridge, Mary Krotenko of Melville and Florence Bodnarchuk of Canora. 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
