Darlene Sushko

Darlene Gloria Madeline Sushko passed away at Yorkton Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the age of 74 years.

Darlene is lovingly remembered by her children Curtis (Gayle) Hurd, Clayton Hurd and Colin Hurd; daughter in law Carla Scherr; grandchildren Krystle (Mitchell) Hurd, Jaclyn Hurd and Jessie Hurd; siblings Priscilla Beesley, Claudine (Eldon) Sass, Michael (Lorraine) Sieben, Celeste (David) Adair, Mary (Graham) Tackaberry, Karen (Wilfred) DuClaux; along with many sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her second husband Julian Sushko; first husband Ralph Hurd; and parents, Emily and Michael Sieben.

Darlene was born in Saskatoon, SK on December 28, 1944 where she lived until marrying Ralph in Calgary, AB in August 1964. At the time, they moved about Saskatchewan and Alberta, eventually settling in Kamloops, B.C until 1984. She returned to Saskatchewan in 1984 upon Ralph’s passing. In 1988, Darlene married Julian in Saskatoon, SK and they lived together on a farm North of Pelly, SK where they ran a mixed farming operation. They also spent time living in Warman, SK and ended up living back on a farm North of Pelly, SK. Darlene did lots of travelling with her husband Julian and son Colin, visiting the Bahamas, many southern U S states, Mexico and of course the home of Elvis Presley, Graceland. She loved her family, kitties; dog’s and was a loyal Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and a season ticket holder.

A private interment is being held for immediate family. A come and go celebration of life will be held for Darlene and Julian Sushko in Pelly, SK in the coming weeks.
