Dexter or "Mitch" as many knew him by, was blessed with a beautiful smile, of which he was not stingy of. He loved his family very much. He loved to laugh and shared that gift with those, in his presence. His favorite pastimes included listening to music, and looking out his window to watch the world outside. He was a self taught guitar player who loved jamming with family and friends. He was a physically strong individual who always stood his ground. He lived in the urban setting most of his life and returned home in the last 10+ years. He was an independent person who lived alone but always welcomed people in, when they needed a place to stay. In his latter years, he was a man of few words, however he was always able to muster up his infamous "WOOO"! He was a kind person, with a genuine heart that will be missed by many.
Dexter is predeceased by his wife: Pauline Shingoose (Muddie). Parents; Ernest and Myrtle Cote. Grandparents: James (JD) & Hilda and Johnny & Abby. His siblings: Garry, Noreen and Betty.
He is survived by his daughters: Terrilynn, Rosalyn and Jacalyn. Grandchildren: Anthony, Kaylynn, Ashlynn, Lorilynn , Danalynn, Jacob, Gregory, Peyton , Evelyn, Cote, Sarah, Tamsen and Samantha. Great Grandchildren: Coby, Traeson, Hayden, Cashton, Graciana, Axton and Darlynn. His siblings; Beverly (Edward), Floyd (Eva), Nestor (Lorraine), Alton (Gloria), Devonie (Darnell) and Aubert. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to mention.
The family would like to thank the Kamsack Care Home staff, the Yorkton Hospital staff and all of you who visited and said prayers for him, during his final days. Mikwec!
