passed away at the age of 76 years on September 9, 2017 at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home.
A traditional wake was held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from the Keeseekoose Band Hall.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 also from the Keeseekoose Band Hall.
Interment followed at the Keeseekoose Traditional Cemetery.
Edith Cathleen Quewezance was born July 5th 1941 to Lucy "Tuppy" Littlewolfe & Alex Quewezance in Kamsack, SK. She departed from this world on Saturday September 9th 2016 at the age of 76.
She was predeceased by her mother Lucy; and her father Alex; her daughter Norma Quewezance; her husband Norman Shingoose; her Aunt Margret "Washap" Littlewolfe; her sister Mabel Quewezance; and her niece Shauna Quewezance.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Keshane; her son Alex Quewezance; Her sisters: Lillian Quewezance; Florence Quewezance; Martha Quewezance; Carol Littlewolfe; Mary Hoffman; Margret Littlewolfe, and Marion Littlewolfe. Her brothers Joseph "Joe" Littlewolfe; Wallace "Nate" Littlewolfe; and James Osborne. Her grandchildren Norma Keshane; Ardice "Bill" Keshane; Joshlyn Pelletier; Tristan Wapash; and Kiera Wapash; as well as numerous great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was a strong, friendly, caring woman. She over came many battles and smiled because she knew her worth. She extended her love to family and friends. She liked to enjoy good conversation with laughter. She was awesome cook and awesome homemaker. Cleanliness was next to Godliness. She humbly gave to others even when she had little to spare. She always was kind, caring, and considerate to others. She will be remembered.
