James Ross Pelly

James "Ross" Pelly of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and formerly of Cote First Nation passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the age of 62 years.

Traditional Wake was held on May 23, 2018 from the Cote First Nation Band Hall on Cote First Nation.

A Funeral Service was held for Ross on  May 24, 2018 also from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.  

Interment followed in the Cote First Nation Cemetery.

Ross resided at Valley View Centre, Moose Jaw, since he was 12 years old. It was a heart breaking decision for Ross’ parents to send him for the professional care he needed. Ross was loved and cared for by all staff at Valley View; they knew how to care for Ross, as he had Down’s Syndrome.

Ross was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Irene Pelly, his Grandmothers Abby R Cote and Mary Pelly, Grandfathers Johnny Severight and John Pelly, brothers Big John, Lawrence, Skeedee, Sisters Joyce, Norma, Day Day, Bebe and Dot.

Ross leaves to mourn his passing sisters Beatrice of Ladysmith, B.C., Gloria of Kamsack, SK, Marj of Yorkton, Shirley (Cuthbert) of Keeseekoose and Connie of Yorkton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
