Lawrence Francis Koenigbaur (Laurie) passed away at the age of 76 on Dec. 20, 2018 at the Kamsack Nursing Home. Laurie was born May 4, 1942 to Otto and Annie (Sterzer)Koenigbaur on their homestead near Pelly, SK. Growing up Laurie enjoyed gardening, going to dances with his brothers and sister, and spending time with his family. He moved to Kamsack with his family when he was a teenager and enjoyed walking up town, greeting everyone he knew, and taking care of his mother. He enjoyed collecting the mail, and delivering the newspapers for TLM Confectionary, as well as doing the many odd jobs for his family. Laurie loved spending time talking to those he would meet on his walks, and finding out about what was happening around town. In his later years, Laurie loved his daily ritual of going for coffee with his brother and brother-in-law and sharing a plate of fries. Laurie was loved by many and will be extremely missed by all.
Laurie is survived by his brother Benny, his sister MaryAnn (Tim) Woollard, and his sister-in-law Carol (Rudy) Koenigbaur. He was a loving Uncle to his nephew’s Michael Woollard, Sheldon (Tricia) Koenigbaur, and Trent (Cindy) Koenigbaur, and his nieces Serena Shane, Lee Ann (Chris) Gagnon, Lynn (Kevin) Sabo, and Brenda Koenigbaur along with many great nieces and nephews.
