Ruby Roberta Ruth Cote

Ruby Cote passed away at the age of 60 years on December 6, 2017 in Vancouver, B.C.

A wake/funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from the Cote First Nation Band Hall with an interment following. .

Ruby was predeceased by her father; Roderick Cote, brothers; Albert “Cowboy” Musqua, Joseph “Lov- Boy” Cote, Kenneth “Trapper” Shingoose, Edward “Bird” Cote, sisters; Florence “Pinky” Cote, Faye Lorraine Cote, Yvonne Cote, Margaret Rose Cote and a son; Steven Papequash.

She is survived by her life partner Rick Pelly, mother Veronica Cote, brothers; Sandy Cote, Andy Cote, Fred Cote, Eddie Cote, sisters; Doreen Cote, Beatrice Cote, Margaret M Cote, children; Roberta Cote of Vancouver, Michelle Whitney, Stephanie Waters, Cheryl Cote and Kenneth Waters, grandchildren; Stevie Cote, Gary Cote, Peyton Cote, Century Cote, Rochelle Gladue, Phoenix Papequash, Julie Cote and Dasean Cote as well as her great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby grew up and attended school in Kamsack. She moved to Vancouver when she was 19 years old. She called Vancouver home and remained there until her passing. Ruby was known as a kind hearted person who loved playing bingo.
