Allan Mojelski Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Uncle Allan on July 24, 2025. He was the third and youngest son of Fred and Mabel, born in Kamsack and raised on the family farm with brothers Fred and Bill, where he attended Linden Valley School and then Kamsack Comprehensive Institute. He then moved to Saskatoon to attend U of S, where he received his teaching degree. Allan first taught High School in Theodore before landing a job in Regina with the Government of Saskatchewan, teaching Science through correspondence. Perhaps it was because of all the writing he was required to do that he developed immaculate handwriting and an interest in handwriting analysis. But the Kamsack area, especially Madge Lake, was where his heart remained, and he eventually built a retirement home at the lake. He often spent his mornings gardening at the farm, days helping in the fields, evenings fishing on the lake, and puttering in between… always working around the Riders’ schedule so that he could be back in Regina for the games. Whenever we asked where he would be, he called himself a “gypsy” and said he wasn’t sure, as he never liked to plan too much for certain. He enjoyed his quiet life, but also enjoyed a good conversation about politics, education or social issues. He never hesitated to poke fun at himself along the way, and his sense of humour will be what we remember most. Allan is survived by his brother, William (Bill) and Gladys Mojelski, nieces Lauri Riegel, Cindy and Jon Mandseth, Sharon Mojelski and nephew Sheldon Mojelski, and sister-in-law Joyce Mojelski. He was also a Great Uncle to Brett, Steven, Jonelle and Tyson, and a special friend to the Chernoff Family.
