The family of Antoine Quewezance announces his passing on December 17, 2023 in Regina, SK at the age of 70 years.
Tony was born and raised on the Keeseekoose First Nation where he got the nickname "Achitumoo" (Saulteaux for Squirrel). Some called him Chitum. This is where he spent most of his life. He also lived briefly in Edmonton, James Smith FN, Yorkton and Prince Albert. He received most of his education at St. Philip's and at the public school in Kamsack. In his work life, he was a carpenter and laborer.Tony found the love for sports while attending residential school. He played and excelled at baseball and hockey. He played both till he was in his early 30's.Tony loved his family and always tried hard to help them as much as he could. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his children: Robin, Candace, Murray, Bobbi-Jo, Misty, Caitlin, Dallas and Avery. His grandchildren: Rayne, Thunder, Storm, Soara, Eagle, Swan, Courtney, Kalyn, Daunte, Hayden, Naiobi, Natalie, Chavez, Fiona, Chante, Reggie, Tony, Reese, Skye, Mason and Dallas JR. His great-grandchildren Noah, Ava, Isabelle, Savanna, Maddison and Rosie Mae and
his siblings: Madeline, James, Tammy and Andrew (Lillian), special niece: Cindy Tourangeau and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Doreen, his grandchildren, Raven and Murray JR. and his siblings: Lenore, Ethel, Annabelle, Cora, MaryAnn, Vicky, Harriet, Joseph (Bertie) and Adam.
