I was born on January 14, 1913 to Andrew and Mary (Kinaschuk) Horocholyn. The Horocholyn family farm was in the Kobzar district S/E of Arran, Saskatchewan. I was the youngest of four children, brothers John and Bill and a sister named Ann. I went to Kobzar School for four years. At the age of 12 years old, I turned rather ill for more than a year and never did return to further my education. I spent the next 10 years helping my parents work the family farm. In 1935 I married a John Zabinsky. In 1945 my parents moved from the farm into town, I married Tony Repula and we continued to farm until we retired and moved into Benito in 1974. I have one son, three grand children and six great grand children.

Left to cherish her memory are: her husband Tony Repula (Benito); her son Alvin (Al) Zabinsky (Benito); her grandson Tony Zabinsky and Gwen ( Fort St.John, B.C.); her granddaughter Michele Medina and Reg (Regina); her granddaughter Lisa Marie Schwartz and Gregg (Regina); great grand children A.J., Melissa and Zachary Zabinsky; Emilia and Olivia Medina, and Dorean Schwartz. Her sister-in-law Kay Horocholyn of Victoria, B.C

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Swan Valley Funeral Services Chapel. Interment followed in the Arran Cemetery.
