Beverley was a Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Bev influenced many lives during his 78 years.
Bev was born & raised in the Mellmore District. His parents seeing his love of cattle sent him to the Vermilion School of Agriculture when he
was 17. After graduation, Bev moved to Edmonton & lived with his older sister Hope, and her husband Jim Dearden. With the assistance of Jim he found employment in construction, sales and as a tax assessor, but the pull of the land brought him back to his father's farm in Norquay.
In 1959 Bev married Gay Keillor, together they raised 5 children; Blaine, Alayne, Gayle, Brooks and Scott, and continued to farm in the Mellmore District for over 40 years where he was committed to raising quality Salers Cattle.
Having lived in the area, he contributed to the community by being an assistant coach for hockey, part of the 4H program, confirmed member
of the Pelly Anglican Church, participant of the Lutheran Church choir, member of the curling club for 40 years and active member of the NICE centre right to the end.
Bev was an avid reader, his favorite author being Louis Labour. He was a long-time fan of Montreal Canadians hockey team (as long as
they were winning!). He enjoyed driving and singing along to the music of Dean Martin, Ian Tyson and Roger Whittaker, just to name a few.
Playing pool was always a large part of Bev's life and a highlight of his later years at the NICE centre.
Bev will be remembered for his strong commitment to family, his sense of humor and his quick flashes of temper.
The memory of Bev will live in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and many friends.
Bev was predeceased by his brother Dean, his son Blaine, his son in-law Sherwood and his great grandson Noah.
