It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of husband, best dad ever, kindest, most profound grandfather, coolest uncle, and best brother "Stuno" Calvin Ironstand. He passed away on June 5, 2022 at 9:35 pm in Canora, SK.
Stuno was very caring, kind hearted person, who was known for his warm greetings and welcomes to anyone he met- he was always saying "hello". If you mat Stuno, you had a friend for life. Sometimes, though when he was let down or people would talk bad about situations, his favorite word was "mahnoo"- an Ojibway word that means- never mind- just leave it.
In the early 80's the gospel came to Cote Reserve, Stuno has an encounter with the Lord, he loved singing gospel music and playing it early in the morning. Stuno knew how to play guitar and had a desire to sing and play in church, which he did.
