The family of Christie Whitehawk announces her passing on October 21, 2023 in Yorkton, Sk at the age of 48 years.
Christie had a cheeky personality; she was always cracking jokes with her family and making them laugh to tears. She and her family had a special bond that grew and grew all over again over the years. As one of Grandpa Mitcho’s and Coco Joyce’s many special grandchildren, she grew up with all of her cousins by her side. Together they created unforgettable memories, and with each and every family member adding to the crazy stories and good times, the memories continued to be shared with the next generation.
She had a big beautiful smile that could fill the room with her humorous glow. If something was funny to her she had to share it with her friends or family so they could get a good laugh at what her mind was hilariously repeating itself, over and over. Something she saw, something she found funny and could not stop thinking about… she could bring a person over to the funny side with her expressive stories.
Christie loved to read and write and listen to her favorite music. She had her own play list premade on YouTube that she could listen to on blast all day if she felt like it. It was her comfort. When she was writing in her journal she could fill pages upon pages of her neat handwriting. Purposeful and inspired she shared her thoughts with those pages, freeing her mind of burdens, and always, always sharing her humor as well. She knew that reading cultivated knowledge and she showed this by reading and collecting as many Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels as she could. Her favorite puzzles were crosswords, as she loved it when she could complete the entire book, and would flip through the filled in pages in awe of her intelligence and what she was capable of. She knew she could do anything once she put her mind to it. She was very compassionate and empathetic towards anyone who would come to her for help. She always did the best she could for others, sometimes giving her last. She loved her children very much, always calling them her babies, and willing to drop everything for their wellbeing. Most of all, though, she loved her grandchildren more than anything.
