Christopher Daniel George Burke

Christopher Daniel George Burke, age 39 passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2023. He was born March 27, 1984 at Lloydminster to his parents Bruce Burke and Colleen Musqua. Being raised by a proud Irish father influenced his Irish pride and gift of the gab. He grew up in Lloydminster and Kitscoty, AB with family and friends. He was a pillar and rock of his family.

Christopher was a hard working, fun loving and adventurous guy with a free spirit. He lived life to the fullest and never let too much get him down. He had a strong work ethic, and began working in his mid teens with his dad in the oil fields. He graduated in 2003 from Kitscoty High School and continued to work in the oil patch. He worked various positions and as a deckhand on a rig, heavy equipment operator to eventually operating his own rig. His last employer was Enbridge Pipeline as an Aboriginal pipeline monitor and culture liaison. Chris was on leave and his plan was always to return to work and move back to Lloydminster. He spent his last few years taking care of his brother and raising their little heart Shellby, she was his world and kept him busy.

Chris leaves many cherished memories to his brother; Keegan Burke, and the joy of his life Shellby Burke, his cousins who were his brothers and sisters, his maternal grandmother; Thelma Musqua, many aunts and uncles from the Burke and Musqua Family,  as well as many, many family and friends that stretch across the provinces.

Chris is predeceased by his parents; Bruce Burke and Colleen Musqua, as well as maternal grandfather, Dr. Daniel Musqua, who was a great influence in his life and paternal and maternal aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.

The family would like to thank the many family and friends who reached out  and sent the beautiful tributes. A special thanks too the helpers for coming within hours in our time of need. We will forever be grateful to you all.
