Christopher Starr

The family of Chris Starr sadly announce his passing on February 17, 2020 at his home on Star Blanket First Nation, SK. A Traditional Wake will be held on Thursday February 20, 2020 from the Lebret School Gymnasium at 4:00 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Friday February 21, 2020 at 11:00 from the Lebret School Gymnasium with interment to take place at the Star Blanket Cemetery.

Chris was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maggie Starr, brother George Starr, sisters Stella Steininer, Grace Adam, Virginia Pelletier, Joan Pelletier, and Elizabeth Pinay, adopted son Herbie Ryder and grandchildren Drew (infancy), Dante, and Eric. Special friends James (Moon) Starblanket, Art Walker, Mickey and Flora Yuzicappi. Chris is survived by his loving wife of  51 years Donna and their children Steven (Nicole), Stephanie, Louise(Clifford) and Lawrence (Sherri). His brother Alvin 'Baby Rat' Starr and numerous nieces and nephews. As well as his adopted children Leslie Bellegarde, Barbara (Dominic) Nokusis, Michelle Keewatin, John Pelletier, Sheila Swanson, Jennifer Bellegarde and Renita (Dale) Whitecap. His God-Children David Walker, Lynn Dumont and Elizabeth Pinay. Chris and Donna raised three of their grandchildren Cody, Curtis and Brandi-Mae (John). He will be missed by his grandchildren Nitanis,Troy,  Cameron, Megan (Ty) Christin, Christian (Geana), Tenelle, Winstin, Colin (Elizabeth) Tamiah, Sammie, Christopher, Eyrik and Jennine as well as numerous adopted grandchildren. Chris and Donna were blessed with three great grandchildren Daniel, Karen and Jaxon. Special friends Theresa Walker and Edgar Starr will miss Chris as well.
