Cory Blaine (Papequash) Raphael

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our deeply loved Cory Blaine (Papequash) Raphael, born Oct. 20, 1971 in Vancouver, BC passed away on Oct. 23, 2022 on The Key First Nation at the age of 51 years.

Cory embraced life and brought joy, happiness and laughter to others. He loved his family dearly and truly cherished his daughter Caroline. Cory enjoyed horses and watching UFC with his dad, along with long walks to and from the bush. Along with being best friends and protector of his siblings, he would defend anyone he loved. Just part of how awesome he was.

Cory was outgoing, and able to make friends with all he met. He had a wonderful sense of humour, one of his specialties was catching candid shots of family and friends and his favorite meal of noodles mixed with Cheetos. Cory had a winning way with woman  by using his humour and showing his big open heart. He looked up to his father all his life.

Cory is loving remembered by; his father; Clarence Papequash, stepmom Donalda Brass, daughter; Caroline Papequash, sisters; Derian, Cheyene, and Serenna, uncles; Gerry Papequash and Warren Raphael, aunts; Pat Allen, Connie, Sharon, Wilma, Iris, Delores and Cynthia Raphael, nephews; Kaylem and D'Shawn and many nieces, cousins, in-laws, as well as many more friends and family.

Cory is predeceased by his mother; Caroline (Carlene) Raphael, grandparents; Archie and Alice Papequash, maternal grandparents; Edwin Crane and Sarah (McDermott) Raphael, uncles; Delvin, Davie, Alfie, Randy, Harold and Campbell Papequash; Burl, Bobby, Tex and Wayne Raphael, aunts; Marjorie and Bernice Raphael, Cheryl and Gloria and Margaret Papequash, nephews ;Pierson Scalplock, cousins; Dale, Dean and Delores Innis, Marlene Gervais, Joe, Raven, Yvette Raphael.

Cory was loved by so many for his happy outgoings, fun loving nature.
