Darlene Karen Papequash

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Darlene announces her passing on February 15, 2026 in Regina, SK at the age of 54 years.

Darlene lived her younger years in Vancouver British Columbia, alongside her grandmother Alice Papequash. She was a bright, bold and beautiful individual. She lived life to the fullest. Darlene was a very kind woman, she was always smiling, happy and willing to lend a helping hand, give a hug when needed or be a listening ear to those she loved. She enjoyed making new friends, joking , dancing and blasting Mariah Carey or Shania Twain, while she cooked a scrumptious meal for her family. Cooking always brought her comfort. One of the things she always made sure people knew, was how much she loved and cared about her grandchildren. Darlene was one of the most proud and loving grandmothers to her 3 grandchildren, as well as her two children. 

May the gates of heaven open and shower her with blessings, it’s not goodbye forever but rather see you later, to a wonderful mother daughter grandmother and friend. She lived a wonderful life and was loved by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. But her memory will live on in our hearts and in spirit.

Darlene is survived by her mother:  Leona Papequash, Daughter; Raquel "Peanut" Flett (Darion),  Son; Ashton Terrance Papequash,Grandchildren;: Dante, Chloe and Armiyah (Hunnybun), Brothers: Lawrence, Vince, Jason and Christopher Papequash, Sisters: Beverly and Peggy Papequash, Aunts: Roxanne, Vonda (Mark) , Isabelle (Brad), Viola (John), Uncles: Clarence Papequash , Gerald (Gerry) Papequash, Daryl Cote, Bernard (Mino) Que, Darren Brass as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and all who knew and loved her dearly. Special Friends : Laverne Keshane, Claudette Keshane,
