Dean Picard Obituary

With great sadness, after a courageous battle with cancer, Dean peacefully went home to be with the Lord.  He was a committed husband for over 30 years to his late wife Claudette and a devoted loving dad to his daughter Falon and the best grandpa to his treasured granddaughters Mahalya and late Jayde.  As a skilled mechanic, he was well-known and well-liked in the community.  He was a hard worker that provided for his family and knew the farming industry assisting his Father-in-law Joe.  Every summer he made a huge garden and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved cooking, being outdoors, and took good care of his visitors.  Dean will be remembered as an optimistic loyal family member and friend.  He displayed respect, generosity, humbleness, thoughtfulness, and always went out of his way to help others.  Dean resided on Cote First Nation for almost 40 years and considered it home.

Dean was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life Claudette Severight-Picard, Beloved Granddaughter: Jayde Severight, Father: Joe Severight, Brothers: Douglas Paul, Elvis Severight, Clayton Severight, Darrell Anderson, Calvin Ironstand, and Kelvin Sumner, Sisters: Charmaine Severight and Susan Severight, Nephews: Collin Severight, Jared Severight, John Anderson, Marlon Joey Severight, and Jay Goforth, Niece: Tawni Rayne Severight

Dean leaves behind his beautiful precious daughter Falon Severight and cherished grand-daughter Mahayla Severight, Mother: Rose Dilling (Bill) / Janet Severight (Joe) , Father: Frank Picard / Alvin Jerome (Stepfather who raised him), Sisters: Judy (Chester) Donaldson, Rhonda Severight, Gwendy (Garry) Whitehawk, Jacklyn Severight, Maxine (Eugene) Blacksioux, Brothers: Carey Jerome, Terrence Jerome, Darcy Jerome, Lenice Jerome, Lyle Jerome, Ronnie (Sharon) Severight, Hilliard (Velma) Severight, Many Uncles, Aunties, Nephews, Nieces, family members, friends, and his prized dog Pugsly.
