Doreen Badger

Our Mother, Doreen Badger, passed away peacefully with her children at her bedside at the age of 68 years at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on December 26, 2011 @ 3:10 pm in the afternoon.
A traditional wake was held on Thursday, December 29 at the Cote First Nation Band Hall. Doreen’s funeral service was held on December 30 at 10:00 a.m. also from the Cote First Nation Band Hall. Interment followed in the Cote First Nation Cemetery.

Our Mother enjoyed visiting with people, spending time with family & friends, also listening to her favorite singer Allan Jackson, and most of all traveling all over the United States and Canada.

Mom was born at the Keeseekoose First Nation in her Grandparent's house: Joe and Florence Keshane. Mom was born to Gordon & Elizabeth Papequash of Key First Nation. Then she moved to Cote First Nation with her mother and step-father Alec Severight, and that is where she met the love of her life, Peter Alphonse Badger (Paluck).

Our Mother leaves to mourn her passing daughters Shirley(Darren) Irwin, Elaine (Reynold) Severight, Evelyn (Perry) Gambler, Margaret Whitehawk, Corinne (Lambert) Cote and adopted daughter Margaret Norris, her sons Ervin Badger, Jonathon (Andrea) Badger, Ricky(Nicole) Tourangeau, Irvin Tourangeau (Son-in-Law), and Adopted Son Peter Larson. She also leaves to mourn numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers Norman (Loraine) Papequash, Lorne (Margaret) Brass, Calvin (Nicole) Brass, her sisters Lillian Shingoose, Vera (Robert) Cote, Mable (Harvey) Chernoff, Phylis (Steve) Bourassa, Rita (Fred) Radchuk, Sandra (Robert) Lafontaine, Carleen Brass and cousins Cuthbert Keshane, Richard Brass and Patsy Brass as well as her auntie Matilda Brass.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter Alphonse Badger (Paluck), her sisters Magaret Keshane, Josephine Badger, her Brothers Felix Papequash, and Wilbert Brass, her Parents Gordon Papequash and Elizabeth Papequash, and Step-father Alex Severight, as well as grandaughter Jodi Lynn Bryant and great granddaughters Jade Badger and Isabella Oquias.
