Obituary

The family of Edna Shingoose announces her passing on July 14, 2022 at the age of 54 years.

Edna Grace was born at Kamsack, SK. Edna loved her Children and Grandchildren very much.  Edna attended St. Phillips school, Assiniboine school and Lebret School in her younger years.  Edna was employed at the Casino; where she worked for ten years. She also worked at the English River Gas Station as a Clerk.  

Edna is survived by her Son Dustin Shingoose (Josie Nippi), her Mother Jane Shingoose, her Sisters Elaine Shingoose (Kyle Prettyshield); Winnifred Shingoose; Angie Shingoose (Evan Pelly); Brothers Jimmy Shingoose, Wilfred Shingoose; and her Grandchildren Traizdin Shingoose, Sky-Lynn Shingoose, Darius Shingoose, her  very special Grandson; whom she called her therapy baby Dustin Shingoose Jr; Grandsons Justice Tourangeau and Raiden Shingoose; her Special Nieces Rena Prettyshield; Paige Shingoose, Raven Shingoose, Shanna Shingoose (Shabana); Rae Shingoose (John Pelly);  Rochelle Shingoose (Ed Cote) and her Best Friend Della Kay; Numerous Cousins and all her Nieces & Nephews and Extended Family. 

Edna is predeceased by her Father George Shingoose (Tata); her Sister Earlene Shingoose; her loving daughter whom she missed very much Sharee Shingoose; her Grandparents Henry & Agnes Keshane; and her Grandparents James & Miranda Shingoose.

Edna lived in Regina and moved to Saskatoon when her grandchildren were young. Edna loved her Bingo and enjoyed playing slots. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved driving and going to Powwows. She would travel with her family and daughter in law. Edna would always make time to go travel to get her Mom; storm or not she would pick her up. Edna enjoyed cruising around with her music blasting. She also liked taking her family and grandchildren to the Mountains. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and doing many family activities.  Edna enjoyed walks along the river with Sharee and the kids. Edna always took pictures of the Northern Lights and the Moon; she would drive out of the city to see them. She loved her midnight snacks no matter where she was. 

The family would like to thank Georgina Musqua (Sister) for comforting our Mother & family and for her contribution.  The family also thanks the FSIN Executive & Staff for their contribution. 

The Shingoose family would like to thank all family and friends at this time of need.
