Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Elwood at the age 77.  Predeceased by his parents John and Rosie Friday, Brothers Johnny, Charlie, Claude, Clinton, and Hilliard, Tom Rattlesnake and in infancy Edwin; Sisters Audrey, Olive, Sadie, Donna and Sianne.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Janet Severight and Ida Friday, special nieces and nephews; Charlene, Rhoda, Rose, Enola (Darrel), DeeDee, Loretta (John), Bev, Faye, Lucille, Penny, Carolyn (Doug), Marilyn (Gary), Randy, Dave, Nick, Henry, Augie, adopted children Caleb and Camillo Desjarlais-Buchanan, special friends Robert (Bob) Obey, Elder Irene Young and numerous friends and family members to numerous to list.

Elwood grew up on the Cote First Nation surrounded by his loving family and later on moved to Regina where he dedicated time to help others.  He made many friends throughout Treaty 4 Territory, he made positive impacts on the lives of his family and friends.  He was very kind and soft spoken, he never said no to anyone in need.  He helped everyone as best as he can and always treated everyone good. He loved driving and everyday he was often seen on the road helping people.  Elwood was very comical and always said the craziest things that made us laugh with him. Many good laughs were shared and we all have a funny Elwood story.

Elwood loved his job at Evraz Place and worked for many years until his retirement.
