Ernest grew up working and training horses. Ernest lived a traditional lifestyle participating in ceremonies within the community. Ernest was family oriented and loved being a father to his children. As a young boy Ernest was a square dancer. As he grew older he sang Pow-wow and helped out anyway he could. He was always willing to share a laugh with whomever he met. We all knew he had sticky fingers so watch your stuff, and then saying “it wasn’t me” or “whelp let’s have it.” He left us with much love and laughter until we meet again.
Ernest is survived by his children; Shadaine, Challis, Challen, stepdaughters, Taya and Lexie, parents Reg A. Severight and Sharon Severight (Robert), siblings; Gunny (Vanessa) Arnold, Thomasina, Tyler, Tyrone, Tyson, Maureen, and Douglas, aunty and uncles; Karen, Karl, Kerry, Earl, Eunice, Linda Lou, Dolly, Vern, and Alvin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his brother Paul, maternal grandparents Kenneth and Hazel Quewezance, and paternal grandparents Albert and Cora Severight.
The family would like to thank all those who came and helped us at this difficult time.
The family thanks all the teams and people who came from far and near to assist in bringing Ernest home.
There are no words to express our sincere gratitude to the Friday family for everything that was done for Ernest. We thank you.
