Ernst Peter Sandberg
August 19, 1938 – November 4, 2025
Ernst Peter Sandberg of Norquay, Saskatchewan, passed away on November 4, 2025, at age 87. Born in Norquay to Gunnar Sandberg, former resident of Linköping Sweden, and Anne (Heskin) Sandberg, formerly from the Kamsack area of Saskatchewan. He was raised on the family farm with sisters Myrtle and Elaine. He attended Norquay High School where he met Gloria Sobothniski. On December 26, 1970, he married Gloria, the love of his life, settling on the farm in Norquay where they raised their children. Ernst is survived by his children Erica, Kristofer (wife Tanya), and Matthew (wife Tracy); granddaughters Sofia (Erica and Michael Gray's daughter), Victoria and Ella (children of Matthew and Tracy Sandberg); and sister Elaine. He was predeceased by his wife Gloria Sandberg, parents Gunnar and Anne, and sister Myrtle.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, making his infamous Swedish pancakes, and barbecuing steaks at 20 below for the family.
He will be missed but will eternally live on in our shared memories...
Funeral service will be scheduled for May long weekend 2026.
