Felix Keshane Obituary

Felix Dean Keshane was born to parents Gracie Keshane and George Genaille on July 10, 1966 in Swan River, MB.

Felix moved around a lot during his life but Key First Nation was always his home.  He loved playing baseball and hockey when he was younger.  He was notorious for talking about his fighting days and hunting stories (while eating).

He had a daughter with his life long on-again/off-again partner Roxane Brass.  Felix was eating fries and gravy at Wong’s Café while she was in labour but made it for the birth of his daughter, Tashina Keshane.

Felix had an impact on so many people’s lives.  He was a father to many who didn’t have one around: Kashif and Sherlyn Jamaal, Robert Papequash and Nikita Brass, who claimed him when she was 5 years old, a story he loved to tell his bud Joshua Brass and multiple nephews.

He was quite the character, he had a great sense of humour and was always fighting like a cat and dog with someone but would never hold a grudge.

Felix is predeceased by his mother Gracie Keshane, his maternal grandparents Frank and Sarah Keshane, paternal grandparents Frank Genaille and Chahariot Kakakaway, his brothers Eric (Banky) Keshane, Darwin (Guns and Roses) Keshane and Barry Keshane.  His sisters Sandra Keshane, Loretta (Wawa) Keshane and Meinda Keshane as wel as his special Aunt Debra Papequash whom he says saved his life.

He is survived by his father George Genaille, sisters Shawna Keshane and Yvonne Genaille, brother Thomas Genialle, his two daughters Tashina Keshane (Anthony Langan, his sonny) and Nikita Brass (Leerick Flamont), his four granddaughters Epic Langan, Aria Flamont, Catori Langan and Emery Flamont as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.

Felix was loved greatly and will be missed dearly by many people.
