On the evening of November 16, 2024, Iris Mary Njegovan passed away peacefully in the Kamsack Personal Care Home. She was born on May 28, 1929 in Bethnal Green, London, England. During World War II she was evacuated to the Warwickshire countryside where she remained after the war and became a Nursery Nurse. It was here where she met her beloved George (Djuro) Njegovan who she would marry in 1950. They immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Flin Flon, MB where they raised their family. Iris is predeceased by her husband George; her youngest child Bob; son-in-law Don Hollett; her parents, older brother and sisters, and her in-laws. She leaves to mourn her children Milena, Mitch (Kathy), Jim (Bernadette), her daughter-in-law, Muriel grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchild, her brother Fred and numerous nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring in Flin Flon.
