Jalyssa Ashlyn Whitehawk

Jalyssa was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, granddaughter, aunt, and friend. Born in Kamsack SK to Lawrence and Roberta, she was the 2nd oldest child. She passed away on May 9th, 2025 in Yorkton SK at the age of 30 years young. She is dearly missed, most of all by her son.

Jalyssa was a beautiful, fun and energetic woman, and she was so full of life. She loved being a mother. She loved listening to music, and had such a beautiful singing voice. She was a girly girl, she loved dancing, dressing up, doing her make up, and taking pictures. She always had the most craziest conversations with anybody she visited with. Her laugh was so silly and contagious, she would always cover her face and pinch you whenever it was really funny. She loved cooking and sharing her food and she would always offer you the last bite. Jalyssa had such an amazing love and connection with everyone, especially her Stephan Wade. She loved taking him on adventures and teaching him many things along the way. Jalyssa and Stephan had such a close bond, that when they were together, they didn’t care about the world around them. She was an amazing aunty to all her nieces and nephews as well as to the people she adopted as family.

Jalyssa accomplished many things in her life. She completed her Grade 12, Early Childhood Education Level 1 and 2, Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 1, along with many other certifications. She was a fast learner. She knew sign language, and was learning Korean. She was a natural people’s person who loved to work with children in the daycare and group home, and she worked in various waitressing jobs. She was so outgoing that children and strangers loved her energy.

Jalyssa is survived by her son; Stephan Wade Whitehawk her bubs; Tony Father; Lawrence Whitehawk Mother; Roberta Musqua Siblings; Ashley (Shania), Hailey, Zachery, Tylan, Grandparents; Francis (Missann), Alvin (Freda), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunties and best friends who were her sisters and brothers for life.

She is predeceased by her Grandfathers: Leonard (Boychay), Micheal (Smiley), Clifford (Macanno), Grandmothers: Mabel, Annabelle (Choogoo) Alvina (Jordan), Uncle’s; Derek (Big D) Douglas, Aunties; Stephanie, Jennifer, and her best friends Requel Ketchemonia and Chelsey Poorman.
