It is with a heavy heart that the family of James Stevenson announces his passing on July 27, 2024 on the Cote First Nation at the age of 34 years.
James was the youngest of James "Jiggs" Stevenson and Constance Pelly, born August 24, 1989 in the Kamsack Hospital. He was raised up east on the Cote First Nation. In 2008, he met his partner of 8 years and soon became proud parents to a daughter, then again in 2013, he was so proud to be a father. James attended Chief Gabriel Cote Complex and graduated in 2008. He was so proud to be raised traditionally and strongly followed his traditional ways and took pride in it. He attended and graduated with his class 1A's and held numerous jobs using his skills. He loved to cook and clean, mopping 100 times everywhere he went. James was known for his great sense of humour and gratitude everywhere he went,
James is survived by his daughters; Myah Lynn Stevenson, Annah Phillistine Stevenson, mother; Constance Pelly, grandmother; Beatrice Veregin, brothers; Adam Pelly (Leona Keshane), Brad Pelly, Derik Pelly (Robin Pelly), special uncle; Frank Cote, sisters; Natasha Pelly (Eric Louison), Irene Pelly, special sisters; Lyndsay Lafontaine, Sheena Buceuk, special nieces; Danielle Pelly, Kiana Keshane, special nephews; Cruze Pelly, Keynan Pelly, D.J. Pelly, mother of daughters and friend; Chistann Cote as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family.
James is predeceased by his dad; James Ross "Jiggs" Stevenson Sr, sister; Charlene May Bruno, brother; Dwight Allan Pelly, special friends; Deacon and Diamond, Delbert Badger, maternal grandparents; Norman and Irene Pelly, paternal grandparents; Adam and Ethel Stevenson.
James will be missed and forever loved.
