Josephine Ann Cote passed away at the age of 50 years on June 5, 2019 in Vancouver, B.C.
Josephine Ann Cote was born Jan 2, 1969 to her father Wilfred Cote (Olive Lynxleg) and mother Barbara Gunn. She is predeceased by her son Tyler McDonald, grandmother Sarah B. Cote, grandfather James Eric Cote, and sister Isabell Pratt.
Left to mourn her are her brothers; Emile Cote, Wilfred James Cote, George Strongquill, and numerous other brothers and sisters, her partner Lyman Papequash, aunt Annabelle, daughter Misty Cote (Manny Pratt), and grandchildren; Keaira Allary, Dante Pratt, and Dominic Pratt.
We would like to honour all of her friends who stood beside her in Vancouver. She was loved by them and they helped her, in her hard times and good times. She was a very beautiful young woman and will be missed by many. She loved her children greatly. No matter her state, she always showed love to everyone she met. She lived a hard life in Vancouver and overcame so much being there. She was a survivor.
A traditional wake was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 also from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
Interment followed at the Cote First Nation Cemetery.
