Joyce Jeanette Uhlow

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joyce Uhlow announces her passing at Regina Pasqua Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Born on February 14, 1936, in Runnymede, Saskatchewan, Joyce lived a life full of devotion, strength, and quiet joy. She began her journey in Runnymede, attending school in her hometown before pursuing a nursing career. Joyce worked with compassion and care at the Kamsack Union Hospital until the mid 1970’s. In the next chapter of her life, Joyce joined her husband Peter in founding and operating P&J Plumbing and Heating. Side by side, they built a successful business that served the community until they retired in 1988. 

Joyce cherished her time at Madge Lake, golfing, fishing, and entertaining family.  She was a loving, supportive wife, mother, extraordinary grandmother, phenomenal cook and passionate sports fan. Her strength and resilience were unwavering, especially after the loss of her beloved Peter. Despite her own health challenges, she continued running the household.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband Peter in January 2021, sister Irma McAusland, brother Ken Schneider, sister Rowena Stevens, brother Alvin Schneider and grandson Bradley.  

Joyce will be deeply missed by her sister; Maxine (Cecil), her children: James (Suzanne) and their family, Joanne (Randy), and Janice (Fernando); her grandchildren: Brendon, Kayla (Ryan), and Zachary (Khalisha) and her great-grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor, and Bexleigh and the dearest of friends, Sharon and Keith Grill.
