It is with a heavy heart that the family of Keith Ketchemonia announces his passing on Sept 15, 2023 in Regina, SK at the age of 32 years.
Keith grew up on Keeseekoose and Cote, Regina and Saskatoon. He was the second oldest. He was a father, son, brother and a friend. Keith was smart and articulate in his own way and well dressed, he took care of himself, he would get his hair braided in salons and his eye brows threaded.
Keith hunted with his father Jr and brothers Leonard and Eric growing up on Keeseekoose. Keith liked to travel and explore the world on his own and even ended up in Nunavut and Halifax if it meant being homeless. He was independent and carefree as a young boy and as an adult. Keith was going to school when he passed; he always wanted to complete grade 12.
Keith had a sense of humor and always bugged his brothers; Leonard and Eric, and Dave. He really knew how to get his brothers mad at him, but brothers to the end they were. Keith loved his family and he was respectful and kind to each and everyone of them. He loved his grandmothers, aunts and uncles. He always had a hug and kiss or handshake. Keith loved his children.
Keith is survived by his mother; Sonya Whitehawk, children; River Genaille, Ryder Ace Ketchemonia, Khalasia Bon Ketchemonia, brothers; Leonard Ketchemonia III, Eric Ketchemonia, David Bird, Nicholas Ketchemonia, sister; Logan Quewezance, grandmothers; Stella Ketchemonia and Barbara Whitehawek, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
