Ken Severight

passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the age of 64 years in Regina, Saskatchewan.
A traditional wake was held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 also from the Cote First Nation Band Hall.
Interment followed at the Cote First Nation Cemetery.
Ken was born and raised in Cote First Nation. Ken was together with his wife,Georgina for 37 years. He was a good family man who had taught his children numerous ongoing skills and talents. Ken was an elder and spiritual men. He has lived 37 years of sobriety and dedicated to the A. A program. Ken had numerous friends and people whom he touched their lives all over various communities.
Ken worked as a laborer, addictions counsellor, life skills coach in which he had a great connection with his clients. Ken worked until he started getting sick with Renal failure. Ken loved his music, played guitar, and sang, he,influenced his family to get into karaoke. He was a large Maple Leaf fan who had faith in them every season to win the cup. Ken loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and all his family.
Ken left his family, friends and people (who knew him) with a positive impact. He will be missed by all who have experienced a special connection and whose lives he touched.
Ken was predeceased by (Grandparents: Ethel and Adam Stevenson, Pat Severight and Annabelle Musqua. Mother; Virginia Severight, Father: John Thomas Quewezance, siblings: Barbara Severight, Beatrice Miersch, Grandsons: George – Alfred and Bradley- Jay.
He is survived by: his wife Georgina, children: Virginia, Barbara, Ken Jr, grandchildren- Gabrielle, Kendra, and Kenton. Ken also raised: Rodney Nippi, Allen Whitehawk and Kashtin Quewezance. Siblings: Wanda (Smitty) Cote, Angeline Severight, Leslie Smith, Anne Bryant, Hazel (Robert) Whitehawk, Deana (Allan) Kakakaway, Donna Strongquill, Kevin (Norma) Strongquill as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Anita Tourangeau for being devoted, humorous,
patient, caring and careful when you drove him to dialysis.
