Kristara Whitehawk Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kristara Lyndsay Whitehawk of Cote First Nation on Tuesday July 22, 2025 at the age of 28 years.

Kristara leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories her parents; Derek and Carla, brothers; Clifford, Derek Jr, Kaiden, grandfather; Clifford Whitehawk, special sisters; Liberty, Charlotte Cote, Dymin-Lee, special uncles Darren Cote, Bradley, special aunts; Delvina (Clinton), Rio Whitehawk, Roxanne Cote, special great aunt; Elvira Cote, special cousins, nephews, nieces; Emerson, Kenedi, Baby-Jon, Brandon Jr, as well as extended families; The Whitehawk Family, The Cote Family.

Kristara is predeceased by her grandparents; George and Winnifred Cote, Mabel Whitehawk, Joyce and Clifford Sr, uncles; Clayton Whitehawk, George Cote (Joey), aunts; Allison Cote, Delvina 1st, Melissa Stevenson, cousins; Lynden Mintuck, Robert Tourangeau, Santana Cote, Eric Whitehawk.

Kristara grew up in Tinyville, she was a mommy’s girl, and daddy’s princess. She was the oldest and only girl of 4.  She attended KCI till grade 11 graduated class of 2014 from Chief Gabriel and went on to take Continuing Care Assistant at Suncrest College. She worked at many places including Cote Market, Kamsack Nursing Home, SAWCC, The Walking Buffalo Detox.  

Kristara was an adventurous girl, shy at first but once you got to know her she was a crazy outgoing funny woman. She was beautiful inside and out, got along with everyone. She enjoyed playing her ps4 online she had many online friends who she got close with. She was someone you could go to and talk to her about anything she would sit and listen. She would always find a way to make you laugh even at her own expense. She was the best cook in Tinyville, she worked at the detox and everyone enjoyed her meals. Family events she was always down to cook and try new recipes. She was the bannock maker of the family.  Her dream was to go to culinary school and become a professional chef.   

She had a big heart she loved all her family. She will truly be missed by many.  She was everyone’s favourite and a true sweetheart.
