Meghan Amelia Mae Papequash Friday

It is with great sadness that the family of Mehgan Papequash-Friday announces her passing. Mehgan was born in Regina, SK to parents; Curwen Friday and Melodi Papequash. She was raised by her paternal grandparents; Betty Friday and Hilliard Friday on Cote First Nation. 

Mehgan was a carefree, fun and loving person who wasn’t afraid of trying new things. She always laughed, danced and had fun making her sisters Shaynie, Tally and Fayla laugh. She was so funny, and just loved to be silly. She always had a way of making everyone smile. She loved to lip-sync to BTS with her sister Tallu, and her favourite singer was Billie Eilish. Mehgan loved books, reading, writing stories and word searches. Mehgan loved her cousin Joel. They would swim, play swords and just spend hours at a time finding fun adventures outside. Mehgan loved going to school; it might have been her ultimate favourite thing. She worked side-by-side in and outdoors with Coco/Mom Betty. Mehgan loved her home and took great pride in making others proud of her. She loved her family, and she was so proud and happy to become an aunty for the first time to Rosabella. Mehgan had dreams and goals of graduating highschool, playing hockey one day, or being a WWE wrestler alongside Tally. Mehgan shared a room with her sister Shaynie and was so excited to spend time in their own space together. Mehgan was so humble and easy to please. She loved to ask countless questions about life and animals and was eager to learn about other countries. Mehgan had a support system outside of the family who loved and cared for Mehgan very much, and she loved them all in return. She had so many friends and family. She had her sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, aunties and uncles. There’s too many to mention, but she loved them all and we will all be cherishing memories of her.

We are not saying goodbye to Mehgan, we are saying see you later, until we meet again.

We will forever love and think of you, Mehgan. You will never be forgotten.
