Mike Kuzenko of Kamsack, Saskatchewan passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the age of 91 years.
Mike was born June 28, 1928 to Fred and Katherine Kuzenko (Kobewka) on the Homestead South of Kamsack. He was the youngest of three children. He attended Aisne School, and left after Grade 10 to help his Dad on the farm. As a young man, Mike and his Dad made a decision to sell the Homestead and purchase land a couple of miles South which is the Family Farm to this day. He married Florence Chernoff August 29, 1954. In 1957, their first child, Dwayne, was born, and in 1963 their daughter Wendy. Mike’s greatest joys in life were farming, auctioning and his family. He farmed and auctioned until June of 2009, when due to his health he entered Long Term Care in the Kamsack Hospital, and then moved to the Kamsack and District Nursing Home where he resided until February 26th when he passed away with his family by his side.
Mike was predeceased by his Dad – Fred, Mom – Katherine, and Sister – Mary. Mike is survived by: his wife – Florence, son – Dwayne, daughter – Wendy (Dale) Nelson, brother John (Nina) Kuzenko, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.
A Funeral Service will be held for Mike on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the Andrychuk Funeral Home in Kamsack with Rev. Kevin Sprong officiating.
Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Kamsack Hospital Auxiliary or to a charity of one's choice.
