Morris Bellegarde

Morris Bellegarde passed away at his home on Carry the Kettle First Nation at the age of 70 years on February 13, 2018. 

A traditional wake was held on Thursday February 15, 2018 from the Carry the Kettle First Nation Band Hall.

A funeral service was held on Friday, February 16, 2018  also form Carry the Kettle First Nation Band Hall.

Morris was predeceased by his first wife Shirley A.L. Bellegarde (nee Fayant); parents Louis Bellegarde and Catherine McNabb (nee Daniels) and step-father Noel McNabb; brothers: Ronald (Big Ron) Bellegarde, John (Johnny Bags) Bellegarde, Edison McNabb, Vern McNabb, and Murray McNabb.

Morris is survived by his loving wife Connie Gray-Bellegarde; son Raymond (Andrea) Bellegarde; daughters Krista Bellegarde, Kim Bellegarde (Donny Strongeagle), Joel Bellegarde (Craig Cameron); step-son Ashley Taylor Harnett; and step-daughter Tanya Harnett. Grandchildren: Shayna (Chad) Ewasienko; Jesse Bellegarde; Meagan Bellegarde; Michael Ward; Jamie Lee Bigknife; Curtis Drew Bellegarde; Breanna Bellegarde; Jayme Bellegarde; Delbert “Kiley” Bellegarde (Brianna Belanger-Racette); Braedon Bellegarde; Kameron Bellegarde; Gabrielle Pratt; Kingston Cameron; Step Grandchildren: Emmett Sehn; Orion Sehn; Great grandchildren: Lochlyn Bellegarde; Eliana Ewasienko; Ava Bellegarde; and Brynlee Racette, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
