Nellie Ann Straightnose

This is with tremendous sadness and sorrow to announce Nellie Ann Straightnose has passed unto to The Spirit world to join those who journeyed before her. Nellie succumbed her length battle at the Pasqua Hospital on Wednesday June 10, 2026 with her immediate family at her side. Nellie passed away at the tender age of 59. Nellie parents are Seraphine and Gerald Alvin Straightnose Sr. She was born and raised on Keeseekoose First Nation with 9 of her siblings.  She worked many labour jobs throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. Nellie last employment was at No Frills on 4th Avenue in Regina where she made connections with many family and friends from the Kamsack area. She had a great love and admiration for everyone. Nellie A.KA. (Mudlaine) left a major imprint in our hearts that will last our lifetime.

Nellie Ann Straightnose is survived by Her partner Brian Ball, her 2 sons Nolan Straightnose (Meghan), Randy Straightnose (Megan Haywahe) 3 of her grandchildren Rory, Mason and her babygirl Violet. Her loving Mom Seraphine Straightnose, Siblings Geraldine Cerrito, Janice (Gideon) Straightnose, Elsie (Glen) Keshane, Cindy (Terry) Shingoose, Calvin (Alvina) Straightnose, Delrous Johnson, Jolene Musqua, Melissa (Cliffy) Neubuhr and Thomas(Tyrae) Straightnose. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. She had a special bond with nieces Ashley and Lindsey Straightnose. 

Nellie is predeceased by her Dad Alvin Gerald(Jerry) Straightnose, her sisters Priscilla Lynn & Sherri Lynn Straightnose, brothers Gerald Ashel Straightnose, Steven Dean Straightnose, her beloved nephews Steven Martin Joseph Musqua, Kole Neubuhr, Alvin Walter Musqua Neices: Chelsea Musqua, Priscilla (her son Hunter Taylor) Patricia and Paige Straightnose. Her grandson Marcus Haywahe, Grandparents Mabel and Delbert Whitehawk, Margaret and Joe Straightnose, her great grandparents Nellie and Roy Musqua Her beloved friend Douglas McIver, uncle Tooshay, Plus many many other relatives.
