Nick Vanin, formally of Pelly, SK, passed away on Friday, Aug 13, 2010 in Kamsack, SK, at the age of 88 years. There will be a private service and interment at the Peaceful Cove Cemetery at a later date.
Nick was born on April 4, 1922 in Pelly, SK, where he spent his whole life. Nick was schooled at the Pedolia School. Farming was his primary line of work, but he did work in lumber camps up north, at the Norquay Coop and had various other jobs during the winters. Nick was a quiet, private person, with lots of friends. He was hospitable and energetic.
Nick is survived by his wife Mary, sons; Lorne Vanin (Robin)of Saskatoon, their children; James and William, son Jerry Vanin of Pelly, His sons; Colin and Jason.He will also be missed by his grandchildren; Valerie, Marjorie, Ken, Barry, Darren and Deborah, two Sisters Dora Nanyhbida of Regina and Polly Kinakin of Benito, MB.He was predeceased by his parents and son Paul,and brothers; Walter and Fred.
