Paul Michael Calargyros

Paul left this world at the age of 79  years, after a hard fought battle to be greeted in heaven by the God he loved.

Paul was born to Manos Calargyros and Valentini Kozalidou on the isle of Crete. Growing up Paul was a man of many talents, but in Greece his greatest love was working on ships and the sea. Later Paul immigrated to Canada and settled in The B.C. Fraser Valley, where he became a well-known chef as well as host and producer of a television show serving the Hellenic community. Throughout his life, Paul had a life long love of animals and concerns for their welfare. He was a man of quiet charity, never seeking recognition for himself.  Paul married Anna Marie Markopoulou in  1995, and they moved to Kamasck, SK in 2008. Paul was  a man of deep faith. 

He will be missed by his wife Anna Marie Markopoulou, family and friends both near and far.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul's memory to the SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

There will a reception at Andrychuk Funeral Home following the service for coffee, tea  and cake.
