Ralph Young
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Ralph Young on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 62 years.
Ralph was born on September 17, 1946 in Theodore, Saskatchewan to Vernon and Matilda (nee Grobowsky) Young. He received his education in the Parkerview area.
Following his schooling, Ralph began his working career. He was employed by Hass Datsun as a mechanic, later moving on to Pacific 66 then Young Auto Sales continuing his mechanic duties. Following that, for six years Ralph worked as a maintenance man on the Keeseekoose First Nation.
Ralph was also involved in serving lunches at the Keeseekoose Full Gospel and served lunches for a SA program for the Keeseekoose First Nation.
On November 9, 1980, Ralph was united in marriage to Evelyn Gail Musqua at the United Church in Yorkton, and together they raised a family of 8 children.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon and Matilda Young; two sisters, Mary Young in infancy and Pearl Bodnar; two brothers, Gordon Young and Rodney Young.
Ralph leaves to cherish many fond memories, his family: his wife, Evelyn Young; his children, Shaun Young of Winnipeg, Ambrose (Shannon) Musqua of Keeseekoose First Nation, Timothy (Anne) Musqua of Saskatoon, Austin Ambrose Young/Musqua of Kamsack, Chastity (Curtis) Cook of Kamsack, Kimberly (Derek) McKay of Saskatoon, Beverly (Stering) McKay of Saskatoon, Charlotte (Dallas) Young of Yorkton; 13 grandchildren, Ian (Ashley) Chelsea, Calvin, David, Robert, Eddy, Shania, Kyla, Eve, Glori-Love, Togan, Ambrose George, Abbie; 4 great-grandchildren Seth, Cashius, Christopher, Jazmyne; 6 sisters, Frances of Parkerview, Dorothy (Ed) of Regina, Phyllis (Ed) of Sheho, Hazel (Brian) of Moose Jaw, Rose (Bill) of Yorkton, Rita (Norlan) of Yorkton; 2 brothers, Floyd (Lorraine) of Regina, Richard (Marilyn) of Regina; as well as numerous extended family members.
