of Keeseekoose First Nation passed away on Friday, June 26,2015 at the age of 57 years after a courageous battle with cancer in Regina, Saskatchewan.
A traditional wake was held on Sunday, June 28, 2015from the Keeseekoose Chiefs Educational Complex.
A traditional Funeral Service was held on Monday, June 29, 2015 also from the Keeseekoose Chiefs Educational Complex.
Interment followed at the Keeseekoose Traditional Cemetery.
He was the beloved father of Misty, Robert Jr. and Jessi.
Robbie was born at Kamsack Union Hospital on October 30, 1957. He is the son of the late Albert Francis Stevenson and Elizabeth Therese Stevenson nee Quewezance.
Robbie was predeceased by maternal grandparents Antoine and Mary Quewezance; paternal grandparents George and Sara Stevenson; Brothers Peter, Leslie(Chotty); Sisters Joyce, Francis.
Robbie leaves his beloved daughter, Misty(Glenn) Nokusis; sons Robert Jr.(Rhonda) and Jessi; and grandchildren Ariel, Avery, River, Aurora, Muriel, Christopher, Danaya, Dayne, Tylan. Robbie also leaves behind his sisters Connie, Linda(Enock) and brother Charlie(Paulla).
Robbie leaves behind many nieces and nephews; adopted brothers Rick(Judy) Daniels, Davey(Sara) Poitras; special nieces Brenda(Delone) Stevenson, Shelly(Myles) Johnson; special friends and family Lester Henry, Phillip Quewezance, George Quewezance, Sammy Quewezance, Junior Bitternose and spiritual mentor Joe Quewezance.
Robbie was an incredible person who raised his kids as a single father. He was the first Stevenson to graduate from university with a Bachelor Degree in 1993, with more Stevenson's to follow suit. Robbie loved sports and played competitive fastball for over 30 years. Upon retiring from fastball, Robbie took his competitive spirit to golf and enjoyed his favorite pastime with numerous friends and family.
A Traditional Feast followed the Burial.

Some final words that Robbie wanted to share with friends and family:

"Don't be sad for me. I've lived a good life. I'm very happy and proud to meet and be around the people I have. I'm going home to be with my family."
