Sonia Ann Severight

Sonia Severight, beloved wife of Lloyd Brass passed away peacefully at the Canora Union Hospital on March 6, 2025 at the age of 60 years.

Sonia was born on November 14, 1964 at the Kamsack Hospital where her mother (Katherine Severight) opened  her arms to a beautiful baby girl. Sonia was the youngest out of the five siblings. Sonia's early education took place in various places as she was always on the go. In her younger years, she finished her schooling up to her Grade 10 and later on in the mid 2000's she went back to finish her schooling.

Outside of her schooling, Sonia devoted herself to her children and grandchildren where she always took them hunting, fishing, camping and even to her Tuesday night Bingo. She always loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. In 1994 Sonia met the love of her life Lloyd, and they spent 31 healthy and happy years growing two families together. Throughout their years together they welcomed many grandchildren and three great-grandchildren into their lives. Lloyd was Sonia's rock throughout her health journey and always was there for her in her darkest times. Their love for each other will never go unnoticed.

Sonia's health journey started a few years back, but took a turn for the worse in March of 2024 while she was in the ICU for a couple weeks fighting for her life. Sonia's battle was long and hard, but she fought for herself everyday even on her hard days. Middle of February 2025, Sonia was hospitalized and spent her last weeks surrounded with love and laughter from her family and friends. Her life was a testament of love, faith and family. She will be deeply missed by all who had pleasure of knowing her .

Sonia is predeceased by her mother; Katherine Severight, brother; Kelly Severight ,daughter; Mirianda Severight and grandson; Gregory Severight.

Sonia is survived by her husband; Lloyd Brass, siblings; Maynard Severight, Ronald Severight, Reggie Severight, and Bonnie Severight, children; Amanda (Chet) Severight, Noelle Severight and Kevin Severight, grandchildren; Savannah (Ben) Severight, Shyann Severight, Envy Severight, Latifah Severight, Airianna Machiskinic, Alaryk Machiskinic and Anyah Machiskinic, great-grandchildren; Riley Gravel-Severight, Sarah Severight and Cecilia Severight, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
