Passed away in Yorkton,Sk, on July 22,2010 at the age of 67 years,She was born on July 3,1943 in Kamsack,Sk. A traditional Wake was held on Sunday July 25,2010 at the Keeseekoose Chiefs Educational Complex.A funeral was held on Monday, July 26,2010 from the St Phillips Roman Cathoilc Church,With Fr Vitalis Azike Officating. Interment followed at the St Phillips Catholic Cemetery.
Sylvia was married to Goerge Kakakaway for 47 years. She loved having her Children and Grandchildren close to her.
She loved to tell stories of her Grandparents and her siblings, it would bring big a smile to her face. Sylvia valued her traditional ways. She also loved to travel to the mountians with her family, which is why her memories will live on in those who knew her in a special way.May her spirit live on in each and every one of us.
Left to cherish fond memories are her husband George Kakakaway; Sons Bernard and Nadine Quewezance, Greg and Bonnie Kakakaway, Michael and Sylvia Kakakaway, Alec and Ertha Kakakaway, Patrick Kakakaway and Brian Kakakaway; Daughters; Lisa and Joe Kakakaway, Loretta and Joseph Kakakaway; Brothers; Mike Quewezance, Robert Tracy, Wayne Wapash; Sisters; Mavis Kakakaway, Margaret Masney, Linda Quewezance,Emilen Langan, Serephine Straightnose and Wanda Wapash.
29 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Fred and Laura Quewezance; Parents Cyril and Marjorie; Sister Edna; Brothers Wally Severight and Edwin; and 2 sons Edwin and Vernon.
